Managed Parking – 3 Hours Free

Managed parking helps provide customers with ample and convenient access to parking.

All customers will continue to receive three hours free, with no change to existing parking rates.

In addition, customers can also receive:

  • FREE all-day parking if you spend $150 or more collectively in-centre during your visit.
  • FREE parking if you enter after 6pm.
  • Customers can receive an additional hour of free parking with a valid Event Cinema Ticket - Giving you 4 hours FREE parking, just scan the barcode of your printed cinema ticket at the boom gate when exiting the centre. (excludes Convenience Corner)
  • Customers who return 60 minutes after exiting the carpark, can recieve an additional 3 hours FREE parking
  • FREE parking is excluded from Convenience Corner, this corner is limited to 1 hour quick shop and park every day.

 


Simply visit the Guest Services Desk, located on Level 3 opposite Sunglass Hut, with your receipts to validate or for more information.

  • Enjoy a minimum of 3 hours of free parking when you visit Macarthur Square. Our managed parking system is based on licence plate recognition will enhance the parking experience by improving the ease and time required to find a parking space.

    In addition, car parks will include a parking guidance system using red, green and blue LED space indicators in multi-level car parks, along with electronic display boards showing the number of available bays throughout all car parks, making it quicker and easier for customers to find a parking.

    Parking will be FREE for customers who:

    • Park for 3 hours or less
    • Enter the Centre after 6pm and leave before midnight
    • Have an authorised mobility parking scheme permit
    • See a movie during their visit and validate their cinema ticket (excludes Convenience Corner)
    • Spend $150+ at any retailer. Customers can take their combined receipts to Guest Services on Level 3 to validate their parking. Terms and Conditions Apply.

    Seniors will receive an additional hour free when they register their seniors car at Guest Services on Level 3.

    Customers can receive 4 hours FREE parking with a valid Event Cinema Ticket (excludes Convenience Corner).

    Customers who have stayed more than 3 hours in the centre (and aren’t able to claim additional free parking) will incur a fee. Parking costs will start at $5 for the first 60 minutes.

    Macarthur Square has Ticketless Parking, an advanced managed parking system based on license plate recognition.

    Q: What COVID-safe measures are in place for the return of managed parking?

    A: We are working hard to ensure that Macarthur Square remains a COVID-safe centre, and our ticketless parking system means that you can visit with peace of mind. 
    • Contactless entry and exit for customers within the first three hours free. 
    • Increased cleaning of our parking pay machines as part of our existing procedures already in place.
    • Increased hand sanitiser stations are placed throughout the centre. 
       

    Q: Why does Macarthur Square have managed parking?

    A: Macarthur's managed system improves the parking experience by ensuring ease and minimal time required to find a car space. Macarthur Square is committed to providing the best customer experience to its customers. Feedback received from customers and retailers highlighted that finding a parking space was one of the main issues they experienced when shopping at Macarthur Square. As the Centre is located close to the train station, our focus is providing customers with ample and convenient parking.

    Q: How does the parking system work?

    A: Ticketless Parking is a contactless parking system based on licence plate recognition. On entry, a camera will recognise vehicle registration numbers. Customers won’t be required to stop as no ticket will be issued. 

    Customers who park in the multi-level car parks can locate available car spaces using the red, green and blue LED light system overhead.

    Customers who park in the outdoor car parks can locate available car spaces using the electronic sign boards located at the various entries.

    Q: How much will it cost to park at Macarthur Square?

    A: Parking will be FREE for customers who:

    • Park for 3 hours or less
    • Spend $150+ in-centre
    • Enter the Centre after 6pm and leave before midnight
    • Have an authorised mobility parking scheme permit registered with Guest Services.

    In addition, customers with seniors card will receive an additional hour FREE when they register at Guest Services on Level 3 .

    Q: How can I pay for my parking?

    A: The first 3 hours of parking is free. Customers who have been at the centre for less than three hours will not be required to pay for their parking and can proceed directly to the exit. Upon exit, the camera will recognise the customer’s registration and the boom gate will automatically open.

    Customers who have stayed more than three hours in the Centre will incur a fee. Payment can be made in three easy ways for a seamless exit:

    • Enter their rego number and pay at any pay station located within the Centre;
    • Register their details at parking.macarthursquare.com.au and exit the car park as normal. The parking fee will be automatically charged to their credit or debit card;
    • Insert credit or debit card or utilise pay wave upon exiting.

    Q: Why should customers register online?

    A: Customers are encouraged to register their vehicle registration number and credit or debit card details at parking.macarthursquare.com.au.

    Once registered, if customers choose to stay longer than three hours there will be no need to visit a pay station as the fee will be automatically charged to their registered credit or debit card on exit.

    Q. How do I register?

    A: 24 hours before visiting the centre, register your details once at parking.macarthursquare.com.au. On your next visit, proceed directly to the exit and the parking fee will be automatically charged to your registered credit or debit card.

    Q: Will my personal details be kept secure?

    A: Macarthur Square will keep all personal details secure in accordance with our privacy policy which can be found on our website.

    Q: How do cinema visitors validate their parking?

    A:Cinema visitors can enjoy 4 hours free parking by validating their cinema ticket at any pay station using the barcode located on the cinema ticket. Upon exit, the camera will recognise the customer’s vehicle rego number and the boom gate will automatically open. Parking can be validated at auto pay machines or at the exit gate.

    Free parking excludes Convenience Corner.

    Q: What happens if customers leave the Centre and come back later?

    A: Customers are entitled to 3 hours free parking on first entry into the car park (excludes Convenience Corner). When returning to the car park in the same day, an additional 3 hours free parking will be available if your time of car park entry is more than 60 minutes after exiting.

    Q: I have a mobility parking scheme permit, will rates apply?

    A: Customers with an authorised mobility parking scheme permit will be able to park free all day if their permit and licence plate details are registered at Guest Services on level 3 .

    Q: I have a seniors card, how do I register for an additional hour free?

    A: Please present your seniors card at Guest Services on level 3 to register.

    Q: Where can commuters park?

    A: Commuters can continue to park in the Basement car park as per normal. 230 car spaces are accessible off Menangle Road.

    Q: Will I be charged for the time it takes me to park my car?

    A: The new controlled parking system will make parking quicker and easier.

    The 3 hours free parking limit will begin at the time vehicles enter the car park.

    Q: Will there be staff to help?

    A: The car park will be managed 24 hours a day by staff. Customers when requiring assistance can contact car park staff by pressing the call button on any exit or pay machine.
