New Parents’ Rooms and Amenities Now Open

Friday 9 December

We are excited to announce that Macarthur Square this week opened our first round of amenities upgrades in the Centre, just in time for Christmas.

Opening on Wednesday the Centre’s brand new amenities included:
Brand new Parent’s Room, Male & Female and disabled amenities located on Level One 
Brand new Parent’s Room located on Level 3 near Vodafone
Brand new Males & Female and disabled amenities located on Level Two next to Dusk

These upgrades complete the first round of amenities upgrades in the Centre with a further 2 sets to be completed after Christmas including:
External Kellicar Lane Amenities
Level Two amenities located by Priceline

These works are in-line with upgrades to the Centre as we work to bring the Next Generation Macarthur Square in early 2017.

The Next Generation of Fashion has Arrived at Macarthur Square

The next generation of fashion has arrived at Macarthur Square just in time for Christmas and we are excited! 

As part of the Centre’s $240 million redevelopment, we have introduced a number of key fashion brands, including international fashion retailer H&M, to offer customers the ultimate fashion destination in south west Sydney.

With the addition of new brands to the Centre’s fashion mix - H&M, Mecca Maxima, Mimco, Country Road, Peter Alexander, Decjuba and Sheike, - Macarthur Square now boasts over 95 fashion stores delivering the number one fashion destination in south west Sydney. 

Macarthur Square Centre Manager, Pedro Araujo said the Centre was excited to give customers the chance to experience brands new to south west Sydney as part of Macarthur Square’s $240 million redevelopment.

“At Macarthur Square we strive to create opportunities and experiences that are new to our customers. The introduction of brands  allows us to do this, and their products bring a fresh new feel to the Centre and complement our existing offering”, Pedro said

H&M Announces Opening Date

Monday 24 October

International Fashion Retailer H&M have confirmed that they will be opening their doors here at Macarthur Square at 10am on Thursday 10th November. 

The store which is approximately 3,300 square metres in size, will be set over two levels covering womenswear, menswear and children’s wear, along with a homewares section.

Amenities Upgrades

Thursday 22 September

As we work to deliver the Next Generation Macarthur Square, we are excited to announce the commencement of our amenities upgrades as we work to bring the existing Centre in-line with the new redevelopment. 

The following amenities will be temporarily closed for approximately 12 weeks:

Level One – Male, Female, Disabled and Parents Room, located near Mama’s Wok;
Level Two – Male, Female and Disabled, located next to Dusk opposite Woolworths; and
Level Three – Parents Room, located next to Vodafone opposite Best & Less

Level Two – Male, Female and Disabled, located near Jeanswest

H&M Announces New Store at Macarthur Square

We are thrilled to announce that international fashion retailer H&M has today announced they will open their doors at Macarthur Square later this year. 
Along with the re-opening of David Jones new concept store, H&M will form a line-up of premium yet to be announced fashion brands that will open in Centre later this year as part of the Centre’s redevelopment Stage One opening.

David Jones Level Two Re-Opens

We are excited to announce today that David Jones has re-opened Level Two of their new concept store here at Macarthur Square.
A far cry from the old store look, the new look Level Two has introduced new cosmetic brands including MAC and Lancome and it is looking fabulous. 

Now that Level Two is now open, Level Three has temporarily closed with the complete David Jones new concept store opening across both levels at Macarthur Square in early 2017.

We are excited to announce the return of a number of our favourite fashion stores back to Macarthur Square.

• Diana Ferrari have opened in their brand new location on level two
• Betts & Betts Kids have re-opened with a new look store back in their existing location on level two of the Fashion Mall
• Jeanswest are set to re-open in July in their new location on level two of the Fashion Mall
• SHEIKE are set to re-open in the coming months in their new location on level two of the Fashion Mall

Stay tuned as we look forward to announcing more retailers (brand new and returning) to Macarthur Square as we near closer to the opening of The Next Generation Macarthur Square in November 2016 with the first international retailer for south west Sydney and an aspirational fashion offering including the latest David Jones concept store on level two.

In early 2017, we will open the second stage of the Next Generation Macarthur Square featuring a new fashion mall, new alfresco dining terrace and fresh food market hall. This exciting retail mix will deliver approximately 45 additional specialty stores, a new David Jones concept store on level 3, a brand new Coles supermarket, plus an additional 500 car spaces.

The $240 million redevelopment of Macarthur Square is on track with earthworks completed and foundations well underway.

The construction of in-ground hydraulics and stormwater will allow work on the suspended carpark structure to start in the coming months.

Leasing of the new centre has commenced and several international retailers have expressed interest in coming to Macarthur Square. Lendlease is confident that it will secure an exciting mix of local and international apparel retailers complemented by a new aspirational casual dining offer. The brand new David Jones store will no doubt be a key differential for Macarthur Square in its new format and fitout. The Next Generation Macarthur Square will open in November 2016 with the first international retailer for south west Sydney and an aspirational fashion offering including the latest David Jones concept store on level two. In early 2017, we will open the second stage of the Next Generation Macarthur Square featuring a new fashion mall, new alfresco dining terrace and fresh food market hall. Exciting changes are currently taking place around the Centre and will continue over the coming months as we work to bring you the Next Generation Macarthur Square opening in late 2016.

Some of our tenants have relocated to new or temporary locations throughout the Centre including:

• Cotton On Kids have relocated to Level 3 near Big W
• Lovisa have relocated to Level 2 near JB HiFi
• Perfume Forever have relocated to Level 2 near JB HiFi
• Pumpkin Patch have relocated to Level 3 near the Food Court.
• Styleyes have relocated to Level 2 near Coffee Emporium
• Yd have relocated to level 3 near City Beach

David Jones Upgrade Works

As part of the Macarthur Square redevelopment works, our David Jones store is undertaking an amazing refurbishment.

Over the next few months, watch this space as David Jones is set to provide Macarthur Square shoppers with the latest David Jones concept store.

Whist these works are taking place, David Jones will continue to trade.

David Jones are still open for business to provide you with the very best in beauty, women’s, men’s & children’s apparel, shoes and accessories, all located on Level 3 at Macarthur Square.

Multi Deck Car Park Open

While the Centre has had to close the Kellicar Road entrance to the western multi deck car park due to redevelopment works, all three levels of this multi deck remain open and fully operational.

Access to this car park is off the Gilchrist Drive roundabout.

Changed Parking Conditions

Monday 24 August 2015

In order to commence the centre redevelopment works, the staff overflow parking and on-grade parking space off Kellicar Road (to the left of the western multi-deck car park entry) has now closed along with the western multi-deck car park entry off Kellicar Road. Access to the western multi-deck car park will be via Gilchrist Drive only.

We will keep you up to date of any further car park changes as the redevelopment progresses. We thank you for your patience as we work to bring you a new improved Macarthur Square Shopping Centre and please do not hesitate to call Centre Management on 4626 1466, should you have any queries.

Macarthur Square Redevelopment Approval

Kicking off in August, construction will start on a new full line Coles, a new full line Aldi, an expanded and refurbished Target, a fully refurbished Woolworths as well as approximately 550 new car spaces.

Guests will be treated to a refurbishment of David Jones and a new Harris Scarf. 45 specialty stores will be added along with a fresh food market hall and a collection of new dining offers next to a spacious dining terrace.

The community is also set to benefit with the redevelopment offering 2000 jobs during construction and 1000 additional retail positions once the redevelopment is finished.

When the redevelopment opens in early 2017, Macarthur Square will jump another 16,000 square metres, significantly boosting our retail, fresh food and entertainment offering.
