Hey Gorgeous! Keep your makeup modern with these five beauty musts!Just as fashion trends change with the seasons, so do makeup and beauty trends. And although we like to keep things pretty casual here in Macarthur, we also love the chance to experiment with some of the season’s latest trends. Read on to get the lowdown on the hottest beauty trends for the coming Spring/Summer season.
This season, it’s all about the natural look. When applying make-up, aim for a fresh, clean complexion that highlights your natural glow. If you need to apply a foundation, go for a lightweight foundation or a tinted moisturizer, rather than anything too heavy. A tinted moisturizer with SPF is ideal.
Blush is back
After a few years on the outs, blush is making its way back. This season, embrace the high-impact crazes of the 80s – think bright pink, bronze, coral and red. Break out your blusher and add some vivacity to your complexion by adding a little blush onto the apples of each cheek.
Colour is key
This spring and summer, it’s time to shine! Bright make-up is your best bet – particularly when it comes to eye shadow. Embrace neon shades for an electric new-season look. Steal the show by using a glitter eye shadow or adding a little shimmer.
Every girl loves her lippy, but this season there’s more reason to play up that pout. Don’t be afraid to move to the brighter side of your colour wheel and embrace those oh-so-sweet orange and pink tones. It doesn’t matter whether your favourite style is matt or glossy – just grab your chosen shade and start applying.
Let your hair down
Curly or straight, there’s a style for everyone this spring and summer. If you’ve got curls, go for an undone, tousled texture – try a swept-over side part for extra volume. For straight hair, try a middle part with your hair tucked behind the ears to highlight your show-stopping earrings. Love hair accessories? Then you’re in luck! Clips, headbands and sliding combs are all back in fashion. Enjoy!
