Ride the Wave
The surf is pumpin' at Macarthur Square and you will be frothin' on our FREE mechanical surfboard as you carve up the wave.
Clucked? It doesn't matter if you are a barney, anyone^ can ride our wave.
Open every day* from 10am to 4pm.
Want to look like Kelly Slater, carving up the wave? Try a few of these moves:
- Cross Step - This is the art of walking up and down a longboard, foot over foot.
- Drop Knee - Riding a longboard with one knee on the deck of the surfboard
- Fakie - This is where someone rides backwards on the surfboard, tail first.
- Hang Ten - If you're riding a longboard with both feet directly on the nose of the board, your hanging ten.
You will feel like a pro until you have a WIPE OUT!
Barney - An inexperienced surfer, or someone who's no good at surfing.
Carve - The classic surfing manoeuver, carving is basically what turning on a wave is called.
Clucked - Being scared or afraid of waves.
Frothin - Excited.
Gnarly - Particularly dangerous surf conditions.
Pumping - A decent swell where the waves are nice and powerful.
