Wear it Purple strives to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for rainbow young people. Wear it Purple is an organisation that was founded in 2010, as a result of the high number of LGBTQIA+ individuals who took their own lives following bullying and harassment resulting from the lack of acceptance of their sexuality or gender identity. This year’s theme for Wear it Purple is “Still me, Still human” with the aim to foster inclusive in communities, schools and workplace environments.
