Back to School Bento Box
The Back to School Bento Box is all about making lunch prep easier while keeping things fun for kids. Packed with colourful, bite-sized foods, this recipe encourages variety and makes lunchtime something to look forward to.
Tuna & Avocado Bento Roll-Ups (with Snack Sides)

Ingredients
- 1 can tuna, drained
- ½ tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 2 slices of sandwich bread, crusts removed
- Light cream cheese
- 1 slices avocado
- Sesame seeds
- ½ cucumber
- Shredded carrot
- Popcorn
- Blueberries
- Thawed edamame beans
Method
- Mix the tuna, mayonnaise and soy sauce in a bowl.
- Roll the bread slices flat with a rolling pin.
- Spread a thin layer of light cream cheese over each slice, then spread half the tuna mixture on each.
- Add avocado slices and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Roll up tightly and slice each roll into 3 pieces to make 6 roll-ups.
- Slice the cucumber using a star cutter (or simply slice).
- Assemble the bento box: add the tuna roll-ups, cucumber and shredded carrot, popcorn, blueberries, and edamame topped with sesame seeds
