Macarthur Square is implementing a number of initiatives as part of its commitment to sustainability.
Initiatives
Rainwater Collection
A 250,000L storage tank is located beneath the centre, collecting rainwater to use in the centre's toilet and irrigation systems. An additional 90,000L of rainwater is captured in Dock 11.
Water Conservation
The centre has established a permanent monitoring system to monitor water flows on a daily basis. Macarthur Square anticipates achieving a 50% reduction in water consumption.
